On September 10th  2014 my life had changed without any warning.  That was the day that after a routine blood test, my doctor called to send me to the ER right away.  After a few tests it was determined that I had Acute Myeloid Leukemia a fast moving, aggressive blood cancer that had to be treated immediately. After 4 weeks at St. Francis in Hartford, CT, I achieved remission. I then followed up with 3 weeks at Dana Farber Cancer Institute for a stem cell transplant.  My donor…my brother Brian…gave me another chance at life. 
After my treatment, Team John was created with a mission to raise funds to fund stem cell research and help families at DFCI with the financial burden that comes with cancer.  

Tournament format will be a scramble with registration beginning at 9:30 am with a shotgun start at 11 am.  Following golf, dinner will be held at Maneeley's (65 Rye Street, South Windsor, CT 06074) at 5 pm.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place along with Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin Putting Contests.
